I am a Partner and Sector lead of Scotland Individual Services at Weightmans. I am a Family Lawyer within our National Family Law Team. I have been in practice for over 30 years and I am an experienced litigator in both Court of Session and Sheriff Court in child case and financial cases. I am recognised as a leading lawyer in both Legal 500 and Chambers UK.
My caseload comprises a broad range of family, child and matrimonial cases. I have significant expertise in complex financial provision cases as well as international child relocation and complex cohabitation claims. I am trained in collaborative law. I regularly am invited to speak at Seminars and conferences for Faculties and the Law Society of Scotland.
I am known for my attention to detail, forensic and client focused approach, being easy to talk to but cutting to the nub of the issue. I am considered a tough negotiator, excellent in Court, calm, composed and gives clear advice. I care about my client's and providing the best service. I seek, as do my colleagues in our Family Law Teams, to resolve matters sensitively, yet robustly through constructive communication.
I collaborate with my family law colleagues in England and Wales to offer advise in both jurisdictions and with my colleagues in other sectors and segments to offer wrap around services in one Firm.
