The UK Supreme Court will make history by sitting in Glasgow for the first time, convening at the City Chambers from 18–21 May 2026.
To celebrate this landmark visit, the Family Law Association is delighted to host a special evening with Lord Stephens, Justice of the UK Supreme Court. Lord Stephens will deliver an address on the concept of “matrimonialisation” in English family law cases, drawing on recent and significant authority from the Supreme Court. The event is kindly sponsored by Evelyn Partners, and will take place at Glasgow City Chambers, 82 George Square Glasgow G2 9UY on Wednesday 20 May 2026. Registration will begin at 5.30pm with the event beginning promptly at 6pm and concluding at 7.30pm.
Following the seminar, there will be a short drinks reception. Tickets for FLA members and law students are £20, and £40 for non-members. The event will comprise around 1 hour of CPD. £5 from each ticket sold for this event will be donated to the Law Scot Foundation.
